Year of Young people 2018 Workshops

10 November 2015 @ the University of Aberdeen – 8 to 25 year olds

2018 will be the Year of Young People, which will celebrate young Scots locally, nationally and globally.

The Year of Young People will be led by young people. To start the journey towards 2018, a steering group of children and young people, supported by Children in Scotland, the Scottish Youth Parliament and Young Scot, will be engaging with Scotland’s youth to develop and deliver recommendations to the Scottish Government on what shape the year should take. Discussion Days will take place across Scotland which will see the group listening to children and young people to hear their hopes and aspirations for the Year of Young People in 2018.

We invite you and the children and young people (aged 8-25) you work with to attend one of the following Discussion Days:

  • 16:00-19:00 – Thursday 3 September at Hampden, Glasgow
  • 16:00-19:00 – Thursday 1 October at North Inch Community Campus, Perth
  • 11:00-14:00 – Tuesday 10 November the University of Aberdeen

A national event to present insights gathered and take additional feedback will take place on Wednesday 2 December at Dynamic Earth, Edinburgh.
